Company relocation Veldhuis Media
Veldhuis Media recently moved their entire company from Raalte to Meppel. Together with our client Komori, we moved and installed all printing presses. This was another great example of one of our industrial relocations.
Industrial relocation
Due to the structural growth of Veldhuis media, their former business location became too small. With the company relocation to Meppel, both a considerable production capacity growth and possibilities for future growth were attained.
In addition, it was crucial that production continued as Veldhuis Media is a 24/7 operation and the customers still had to be supplied during the move.
Our role
We took care of the entire process for 3 new printing lines and 2 existing ones. The entire transport of the printing presses from the harbour, delivery of the machine parts on location and the positioning of the printing presses in the new production area. For this we used a special 16t forklift, our crane and one of our hydraulic gantry systems inside the production area.
Thanks to good cooperation with the Komori technicians, the machines were up and running quickly and we started moving the printing presses from the old location to the new one immediately.
Low ceiling
We visit quite some special places and in this case there was a part of the former location with a very low ceiling. Fortunately, we installed this printing press ourselves a few years ago and our project leaders quickly found a suitable solution. Instead of with a hydraulic gantry we got the machine out of there with a mechanical gantry.
Result
All in all, this was another great project in which our machine transport, hoisting, lifting services and (dis)assembly went like clockwork together with all the other work that was going on. Thanks to good planning and pleasant cooperation with many different parties, we made it a success together!
With this move, Veldhuis Media has grown considerably in capacity and has taken a great step towards their future. What a great project to contribute to! Veldhuis is very happy with how everything went. We even received nice thank you gifts for the colleagues who contributed to this project!
