Company relocation: this is how we do it!

We recently completed a great assignment at KAVO Parts, a new customer. KAVO Parts specializes in car parts and was planning a move to another location within Apeldoorn. One and a half million parts had to be moved to the new location within two weeks. We spoke with Peter Bloemberg and Herald Nijenhuis of KAVO Parts, together with our director Peter Schoenmaker, about this major project, which had to be completed in a very short time.

How do you get a business location of such a large size to another location in two weeks?

That requires a lot of flexibility, but that is no problem for us. Peter: “We worked in 2 shifts for two weeks, 6 days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Because we are located on the same industrial estate and our need for storage is also growing, we were able to make a good combination of moving and storage."

How did the project go?

“The entire process went extremely smoothly and efficiently. Albert van de Scheur was able to adapt to our changing needs and ensured that everything went according to plan. We really appreciated their flexibility.”

It was clearly a challenging job. Peter, can you explain our approach to this project?

"We discussed the timeline with KAVO Parts in advance and went through the impact. We then prepared all the equipment and informed our colleagues that we had to transport a lot in a short time during this project. All in all, we transported more than 100 trailers full of goods and various reach trucks."

That undoubtedly required a lot of effort. Were there any special incidents during the project?

"Yes, in addition to a lot of transport and availability, we were also called last-minute to assist on a Saturday. Thanks to the efforts, involvement and flexibility of our colleagues, everything went according to schedule. We are now using the extra storage location for our customers with great satisfaction."

That sounds very positive, what do you think about the result?

“We are extremely pleased with the result. Not only did they meet the tight deadlines, but they did it without any damage to our goods. It was a huge project and the fact that everything went so smoothly gives us great confidence in Albert van de Scheur."

Nice to hear! Do you plan to work with Albert van de Scheur more often in the future?

"Absolutely, we plan to use Albert van de Scheur more often in the future. Their professionalism and social approach convinced us. They really think along with us and ensure that our needs are understood and met. This is exactly what we look for in a service provider, and we look forward to further collaborations."

A successful collaboration that leaves both parties looking forward to more. We look forward to the future work we can carry out for KAVO Parts. We will of course keep you informed of all the great projects we carry out throughout the year. So keep an eye on our channels for more information.
